The path of Argentina 82 million condoms

Buenos Aires: Argentina plans to distribute about 82 million free condoms across the nation during 2013, in a campaign against sexually transmitted disease, including HIV, according to the Ministry of health.

Condoms will be handed over to a health centre, schools, jails, bars and nightclubs, in addition to a special centre in network 3000 public service agencies.

"Provision of condoms with 17 million gel lubricants, to ensure that the methods used to prevent sexually transmitted disease," said the Ministry in a statement.

Lubricants prevent condom RIP and prevent users from melecet, which can result in contaminated blood to infect a couple.

5500 new HIV patient hidap

In Argentina, 5500 new patients with HIV are reported every year, with 90 percent of the infections caused by those who have sex without protection.

"However, we found the number of new patients is reduced to 30 percent since 2004, while the rate of infection in 2010, is 7.3 cases per 100000 people compared to 10.7 before," he said. Argentina has 40 million inhabitants with 30 million of them aged over 15 years. -Agency
